How does it work?Does it hurt? How long does it take? Can any area be treated? Can men & women have the treatment? Can it be used on all skin types? How will it look after the treatment? How many treatments will it take? How often do I have the treatments?Q: How does it work?A: The light from the laser kills the hair root & follicle, without damaging skin. It does this by heating up the dark colour, in the hair root. The hair grows in cycles, usually 3-6 weekly, (depending on the area of the face or body). The hair can only be killed when it is newly growing. Not all of the hairs will be at the correct stage at the same time, so more than one treatment is needed – (usually 4-8).Q: Does it hurt? A: No. The hair is not pulled out at the root, as in waxing, so it is virtually pain free.Q: How long does the treatment take? A: That depends on the size of the area being treated, but the treatment is fast. For example a lip will take less than a minute, a mans chest will take around 15 minutes.Q: Which areas can be treated? A: Virtually any area of the face or body can be treated including mens beards, ladies facial hair, under arms, arms, legs, chest, backs, abdomen, buttocks & genital areas.Q: Can the treatment be done on any skin colour? A: Yes. The machine settings will be adjusted for your skin type. Q: How will the area look after the treatment? A: Most of the time there will be no change in appearance, although some people do have slight redness for a few hours. Q: How many treatments will I need? A: Everyone is different but most people notice an improvement after just one session. It is usually completely gone in 4 – 8 sessions. Q: How often do I have a treatment? A: A programme will be designed specifically for your skin and hair type at your consultation, but it's usually around once a month.
